Your Path to Becoming a Pilot

Every pilot’s journey begins the same way, with a single flight. Whether you dream of flying for fun or pursuing a professional career, earning your pilot’s license starts with hands-on experience and personalized instruction. At Minuteman Aviation, we provide the aircraft, the facilities, and the support to help you take those first steps confidently. Local independent instructors who operate out of our building offer flight training using Minuteman aircraft, guiding students from their first takeoff to checkride day.

Discovery Flights

A discovery flight is your introduction to aviation, a chance to take the controls and see what it feels like to fly. During this 30–60 minute flight, you’ll sit in the pilot’s seat beside a certified flight instructor who will walk you through the basics of flying and let you take the controls once airborne. It’s an unforgettable experience and the best way to find out if becoming a pilot is right for you.

Flight Lessons

After your discovery flight, you can begin formal flight training toward your Private Pilot License (PPL) or other certificates. Independent instructors who train out of Minuteman offer flexible lesson schedules tailored to your goals, from foundational skills like takeoffs and landings to advanced cross-country navigation. Lessons are conducted using our well-maintained fleet.
